Hey,
I'm toying with the possibility of a Soccer Simulation Game written within the KDevelop environment, hopefully made available on Linux, Windows and Mac (though I'm unsure about the Mac environment). The program will hopefully be made available as a Beta within a year, and will be a community project, published under the GPL.
I hope to include all the features normally associated with games such as FIFA, ProEvolution and TIF, such as player likenesses, etc. but hopefully using the GPL arrangement to allow the community to work on things such as advanced ball control and physics, which are often over looked by the big game coding companies in the rush to get a game into boxes and onto shop shelves.
Within a month, I'm hoping to set up a website with a forum and Wiki pages, and eventually make the source RPMs available, but for the time being I would be interested in gauging interest in both potential users of this game and potential coders. Of course, if their is no forthcoming community, I will begin regardless in the hope that it may develop.
