i've started an opensource project,called WinDE...

i've started an opensource project,called WinDE (Windows Desktop Emulation). WinDE wants to configure an existing desktop environment (KDE) and a window manager (Konqueror or XFE) to recreate the Windows XP interface with the goal of make easier for Windows XP users to use a Linux/Freebsd box. i've found the kde menu editor to change the place where the menus and submenus are located,but i can't change everything. for example i don't know how to change the kde logo at the left of the main menu or some menu voices like bookmarks,quick browser,run command,lock screen and logout...

Konqueror is not KDE's window manager, it is called KWin :)

Anyway, some other project with a similar goal is XPDE http://www.xpde.com/

Those images can be found in KDE's icon direcories.
I think the button is called kmenu.png and the other one is kmenu_side.png

The string are quite likely defined in the sources of KMenu.

no

there is no kmenu_side.png in the KDE's folders. but i see the KDE logo on the program's menu. why ?

I said I think it is called kmenu_side.png, but I was not sure.

Its called kside,png and is in kickers data directory.
