Can't Switch Desktops during OOo Slide Show

Using SuSE 8.2 Pro and KDE 3.1.1. I'm giving a demo of KDE using a slide presentation I made with OpenOffice.org. During the slide show, when I display some screen explaining a feature of KDE, I want to switch to another desktop to show that feature in action.

When I hit Control-Tab, I get the box letting me select the other desktop, but it doesn't work - it stays on the slide show. The Control-Tab works with every other application I have run.

Is there a way to switch desktops during a slide show??? Thank you.

Try this:
Go to kcontrol->desktop->window behavior->tab advanced[b]
Look for something like 'active desktop borders' and select 'always enabled'

Now you can switch to desktop 2 by moving your mouse beyond the bottom of your desktop.
