i am running KDE 3.2, and not knowing that Kopete was already in the KDE/Network package, i did "emerge kopete" to install it.

Now, it starts fine but when i try to add an account of any of the different protocols, it always says:

Impossible to load protocol "**protocol name**`

i downloaded the 0.8 package on the kopete web site, compiled it and installed it but it still does the same thing.

Can somebody help me ???

Nevermind, i found the solution.

i unmerged the kopete package, rsync-kopete and emerged again.

Now everything is working fine.
