Kopete beta make errors

When doing 'make' in the Kopete .8beta i get an error about 30 seconds into it saying something about knotifyclient int winId. I've looked around on the web and found nothing about it. Could this be because I am not running KDE 3.14? If so I will just try updating it. Thank everyone in advance.

What kde version are you running?

I am running KDE 3.1.0 I can't seem to get it updated to 3.1.4.
