top margin while prining

Hi there,

I have a HP DJ 995C, the hpijs driver, cups and of course kprinter. But when I print sth. (doesn't matter if I use lpr or kprinter out of kword) I always get a margin at the top of the page (the printer is capable of printing it - it already some time ago... *g*). I tried the GUI of kdeprint an even changed lpoptions directly. But it didn't help.

Anybody using the same printer / driver? Or do you have a simple idea? Any help will be appreciated! :-)

thanks,
marcel

If the printer can really print border-less without trick, then you should look in the option before printing. There is probably something. (I suppose that the driver makes a margin, as some predecesor could not print without.)

Of course, may be, you may have used another printer driver for having no margin.

Have a nice day!

I have searched and found this entry in http://www.linuxprinting.org for a 990 cxi :
http://www.linuxprinting.org/pipermail/hp-list/2001q2/000477.html

So it seems to be more or less what I have tried to tell in the previous entry: a new printer might have features not known by the older driver.

Have a nice day!
