I am russian user, and i can write incorrect anything, but i want ask, how to view the KDE icons in Windows (XP)? Is it real? Please, if it real, can sombody write on my email (jur@email.SU not RU ) how to do it. Please!!!! I very need it!!!
all kde icons are encoded in the PNG format - a common image standard.
It is a matter of copying the icon files over to a partition (FAT or NTFS) so that windows can read it, and opening the files with an applications such as Macromedia Fireworks, or any other respectable application. I am not sure (but likely) if windows has native png support for images.
The kde icons are located at either:
~/.kde/share/icons/
or
KDE_SYSTEM/share/icons/
where KDE_SYSTEM is your prefix - which you can find with kde-config --prefix
