hello,

i cannot find (i searched already the whole day ) my problems solution:

when I log in a windowmanager (kde) as user I'm not allowed to su (control center -> "administrator mode") or open a xterm or a console.
in the (ctrl-alt-F1-X) consoles I can su and startx etc... as user. the user is member of users and wheel.

i'm using gentoo with kde 3.2.1. -> CFLAG is not -O3!!
does anyone know what's my problem?

problem solved.

it was really this pty support!!
i just added
so, problem gelöst:

"DeviceDrivers -> CharacterDevices"
and forgot
"FileSystems -> Pseudo Filesystems"
