Beginner wants to know how to get on the net

Hi I have no idea how to configure the system to get on the net....sorry I am completely new to the Linux/unix world. Can someone help me. I learn quickly.

This has nothing to do with KDE, so I forward you to HOWTO sites like http://www.tldp.org . Also consider using the configuration tools to be found in your distribution to access the internet.
